TAMIYA R/C KITS

Mini Coopers have been automotive fan favourite machines for decades! This 1/10 scale radio control model kit recreates the version of the Mini Cooper built by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) as it existed between 1959 until the year 2000. Original Minis were built for four decades without model changes. It had a front-wheel drive layout which was rare at that time, and it featured compact mechanics and maximum interior space. With its design featuring the necessary bare minimum features, it helped contribute to this car’s iconic status. The recreated R/C version comes on the MB-01 chassis in the short wheelbase and front motor / front-wheel drive (FF) configuration layout.

The MB-01 Chassis
The compact, 2WD MB-01 chassis gives a choice of three types of wheelbases, and a front- or rear- wheel drive system. Without removing battery pack, motor, and R/C equipment setups from the centre frame, simply change attachment directions of final gears and steering linkage to switch between front- and rear-wheel drive; low or high motor position can be chosen for rear-wheel drive cars. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features symmetrical structure and friction dampers. Unitized sections such as motor mount, final gears and suspension facilitate ease of assembly and effective maintenance.

Tamiya welcomes another racing car – this time, the BMW M3 Sport EVO Jägermeister 1992 – paired with our popular TT-02 chassis. The BMW M3 SPORT EVO had fierce races with Mercedes-Benz in the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) in 1992. Among the many private teams that ran the car, the Linder team had their car decked out in the famed orange Jägermeister livery.

After the release of Item 58725 1/10 R/C Squash Van (GF-02) in 2023, we welcome the second new model paired with the gear-driven 4WD GF-02 chassis. While the Squash Van is a retro, actual-car-like model inspired by 1950s American panel vans, this Quirkhopper's concept is a slim, insect-like buggy body. About the GF-02 chassis 
The gear-driven 4WD GF-02 chassis features its motor in a low, central position in the lightweight, durable monocoque frame, and transmits power to front and rear via gears. The long wheelbase and wide tread setup ensures stable off-road performance. The slim frame features ladder/pipe motifs and features integrated sealed gearboxes which help keep stones out. Front and rear gear differentials allow smooth cornering, while separately sold pinion gears offer a choice from three types of gear ratios, and a motor guard enhances reliability off-road. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension employs four friction dampers, and the steering servo is positioned on the left with identical-length tie-rods.

One of our iconic R/C models, the Lunch Box has been loved for a long time, and its fans have enjoyed their own customization. Now, we are delighted to announce the release of the Lunch Box EVO. with features such as updated suspension, and longer tread and wheelbase. While the comical characteristics such as wheelie performance are of course inherited, why not check how the Lunch Box is updated?

This radio-controlled model assembly kit recreates the Peugeot 306 Maxi. The kit is based on the beginner-friendly and highly customizable BT-01 chassis, which allows hobbyists to grow as their driving and building skills develop. Like the full-size car it depicts, the chassis configuration on the BT-01 chassis is set up in the front motor, front drive configuration for unparalleled realism.

About the Peugeot
Based upon the FF hatchback Peugeot 306, the Peugeot 306 Maxi was developed with dedicated components for rallying. A 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine in front was capable of 280hp, and the car had enlarged fenders, roof spoiler, and a lightened body. Including the victories in 1996 and 1997 rally races in France, this car achieved many racing successes such as the class championship in the 1996 rally in Monte Carlo and third place in the 5th and 6th races on the 1997 global rally circuit. This R/C model assembly kit is inspired by such rally champions.

The BT-01 Chassis
The 2WD BT-01 chassis gives the choice of two types of wheelbases, and front-or rear-wheel drive system.  This is an R/C model assembly kit inspired by full size single-seater racing buggies popular in America. The new DT-04 - a 2WD rear-wheel drive buggy chassis - of course offers ease of assembly and lively performance, which is a characteristic of this series. This product name "NXGEN" is based upon the English word “Next Generation” and as you can guess from the name, it gives improved off-road performance and a wealth of setups. Also, front and rear suspension arms, gears and gearbox are from DT-02 and DT-03 chassis cars, and option parts from DT-02 and DT-03 chassis can be used for this chassis. The body will also be an interesting part to see!

• This is a 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit. Length: 395mm (with 265mm wheelbase) / 404mm (with 280mm wheelbase), height: 120mm, width: 248mm.
• Two wheelbases can be selected: 265mm for emphasis on handling or 280mm for emphasis on stability. Reassemble the front section (arms, etc.) to switch between two different wheelbases.

Tamiya is delighted to announce the release of the Ford Baja Bronco as our new R/C model on the cross country CC-02 chassis. The first generation Ford Bronco was relatively compact and extremely capable off-road, and this 4WD car joined numerous races.

The Baja Bronco was sold from 1971 to 1975 to commemorate victory in a major desert race. It had a white and red body with blue roof and black hood plus reinforced sections such as suspension, and this special Bronco enjoys great popularity even in the modern day.

The 1990 Land Rover Defender 90 (originally depicted in Item 58657 on the CC-01 chassis) makes its way to the CC-02 chassis! The Defender 90 is a legendary Land Rover off-road car, and its roots go back to 1948. Based on differences in wheelbases, this car has three types – the Defender 90/110/130. This R/C model depicts a 3-door model with 93-inch wheelbase.

CC-02 Chassis - Off Road, Evolved
Designed for a wide range of off-road scenes including rocky terrain, the CC-02 chassis' ladder frame is inspired by full-size vehicles and is the base for its superior durability. A 4WD setup employs the motor longitudinally behind the front axle with separated gearbox and transfer case, and propeller shafts transmitting power to the differential gears front and rear. Four-link rigid suspension is employed front and rear, with CVA oil dampers for all-encompassing control, even on tricky rock sections. This model comes with black wheels and grippy block pattern tyres.

This R/C kit recreates the classic Lotus Europa Special. The polycarbonate body is paired with the RWD M-06 chassis. The Lotus Europa debuted in 1966, showcasing what was then a revolutionary midship engine layout, with a lightweight FRP body. In 1972 perhaps the finest model – Lotus Europa Special - in the series was released with 1.6-litre inline-4 engine (big valve twin-cam engine) capable of 126hp which was the largest maximum output among the Lotus Europa series. The Tamiya R/C kit faithfully captures this classic car down to the rear wing as seen in the SPECIAL variant of the Europa.

M-06 Chassis
The M-06 chassis features a rear-mounted motor, rear-drive setup and has a longitudinally-mounted battery pack, with R/C equipment positioned on either side for optimum balance and a low centre of gravity. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension uses grey coloured wheels, equipped with 60D radial tyres at the front and 60D super grip tyres at the rear. In addition, a 3-piece steering linkage offers nimble handling response.

This is a special custom (street spec) version of the 1998 Ford Escort. The body depicts the Ford Escort as a customized street version of the WRC car, and is based upon the TT-02 chassis. The actual car was powered by an inline-4 2-litre engine offering 300PS and 50Kgm of torque.

Sporty Evolution of the TT-02!
This sporty evolution of the TT-02 chassis sees the efficient shaft-driven 4WD unit given newly-designed parts and gives users the ability to make setup adjustments across the board, making it great for racing! It is equipped with long reversible suspension arms, and rigid metal suspension mounts. The rear is set up with 3°of toe-in. CVA oil dampers are attached to specially-designed 3.0mm thick FRP damper stays, with optimum damper angle and rebound stroke providing excellent road holding. Turnbuckle upper arms and steering linkage allow fuss-free adjustment of camber and front toe. Power loss is minimized by the use of full ball bearings and metal cup joints and drive shafts.

The Scorcher, a popular and speedy 4WD racing buggy from the late-1980s Tamiya line-up, is back, with a new name and updated body! Shaft-Driven 4WD TT-02B
The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02B buggy chassis uses a skid-shaped frame. Its suspension setup uses 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with long arms, plus CVA shock units, giving the car assured handling, while left and right suspension arms and uprights are identical to facilitate hassle-free assembly. Front and rear gearboxes include 4-bevel differentials for smooth operation, and are sealed to ensure that dust can't get inside. The top can be removed simply by loosening four screws, making maintenance a breeze. Four different gear ratios can be applied with the use of three separately-sold types of pinion gears, allowing you to match the characteristics of your car setup to the conditions at any given time. Of course, this off-road chassis also includes a receiver case and motor cover to protect them from dirt and debris thrown up off of the track.

This is a 1/10 scale R/C assembly kit of the Blitzer Beetle, which was inspired by the exciting off-road desert racer designs seen in the United States. The proven chassis is equipped with 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, CVA shock units, and high-grip off-road tyres to offer superb driving performance on rough terrain. The Holiday Buggy was one of Tamiya’s classic R/C car kits first released in 1980. It is available as a re-release assembly kit. The classic body comes mounted on the DT-02 chassis, which has its battery pack loaded in the centre of the bathtub frame, providing excellent handling performance even on rough surfaces.

Here comes the re-issue of the Ford F-150 Ranger XLT which was originally released as a 1/10 R/C kit in 1981. The 1980 Ford F-150 Ranger was released as the first model of the seventh-generation model of the F series, and it featured angular design and robust ladder frame. The car prioritised both lightweight and durable design, and had a powerful image typical of American pickup trucks. The Ranger grade is positioned as the advanced specification and had extensive outside features such as 2-tone painting and chrome trim. As the option, Free Wheelin' Package added unique characteristics such as stripes and special colour scheme. Inheriting the existing body, the kit features newly-moulded side mirrors, wipers, headlights (separately sold LED lights can be attached.), front section including front grille and bumper guards, plus front "stealth" body mount (eliminated front body mount holes) for a more realistic look.

Tamiya welcomes another racing car – this time, the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 EVO II 1991 – paired with our popular TT-02 chassis. This car took part in the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) in 1991. Based upon the compact Mercedes-Benz 190 E, it was given improved aerodynamics with components such as over fenders, front and rear spoilers and a large rear wing, and employed a 2.5-litre inline-4 DOHC engine capable of 340hp. In the same year, the works team car sponsored by German beer brand König Pilsener secured second place in the Championship and brought the Manufacturer’s Championship to Mercedes-Benz.

Tamiya welcomes another racing car – this time, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO – paired with our popular TT02 chassis. The Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO was developed for GT3 races in 2020. Using the previous model as a base, a 6.3-litre V8 engine capable of 550hp is employed and aerodynamics are improved across the board. About the Audi R8 LMS
Based upon the Audi R8 sports car and conforming to GT3 regulations, the Audi R8 LMS was announced in 2008. A 5.2-litre V10 midship engine capable of over 500hp was mounted in a lightweight aluminium space frame. Body sections were modified, and the drivetrain was changed from 4WD to a rear-wheel drive system. From 2009 onward, this car was delivered to racing teams around the world and achieved many racing successes.

The TT-02 Chassis
The shaft driven 4WD TT-02 chassis employs a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, to offer excellent stability. In addition, it features identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for ease of assembly, plus easy-to-maintain gearboxes. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers 2 different wheelbases, 2 ground clearance settings and 2 tread set-ups in addition to a range of 10 possible gear ratios.
