Kyosho 1/10 RC Car Kits

Kyosho Fazer D2 1:10 Chassis Kit

Drifting, or the controlled dynamic sliding of the car, has become one of the most popular categories in R/C cars. In particular, 1/10 scale EP drift cars with rear-wheel drive (RWD) are hugely popular with their dramatic counter-steering drifts. Kyosho has already introduced the FAZER D2 1/10 RWD drift chassis as a fully assembled Readyset paired with highly detailed Toyota 86 GT body. Now in response to strong demand from fans, a body-less, electronics-free chassis kit makes its debut. The FAZER D2 chassis kit shares its core design with the Readyset version but now comes equipped with select option parts as standard. These carefully chosen tuning components enhance overall performance while greatly expanding the chassis kit’s setup options, straight out of the box. Another key feature is the adjustable motor position which allows precise tuning of handling characteristics. The chassis also retains FAZER D2’s defining variable wheelbase system which combines with adjustable rear tread (track width) for compatibility with most 1/10 scale bodies on the market. Delivering performance on par with dedicated competition drift machines at an accessible price, the FAZER D2 chassis kit sets a new standard for RWD drifting.

- Purpose-built RWD drift chassis kit, without body or R/C electronics.
- Add your preferred R/C system and gyro for authentic drift performance.
- Adjustable wheelbase and track support a wide range of 1/10 scale bodies, including FAZER series.
- Compatible with standard drift tires and wheels (5mm offset recommended).
- Aluminum steering crank pins deliver precise, direct steering response.
- Multi-fit battery holder accommodates most standard R/C battery packs.
- Instead of tapping screws used in the Readyset, the chassis kit includes machine screws for greater precision and durability.
- Full ball bearing spec with 22 bearings for drivetrain and steering.
- Compatible with a wide range of optional parts for tuning and upgrades.
- R/C system, gyro, ESC, motor, battery, and tires are required separately.

Features high-mounted motor layout and long-span suspension specifically designed for RWD drifting. Compatible with a wide range of R/C batteries, from standard cylindrical packs to rectangular shorty LiPo types.

Resin main chassis features a front/rear split design. By changing the connection points, wheelbase can be adjusted from 240mm to 273mm for compatibility with a wide range of 1/10 scale bodies.

Front suspension and steering system deliver the large steering angle essential for RWD drifting. Turnbuckle-type steering rods allow precise toe adjustment, and caster angle is also adjustable.

Rear double wishbone suspension provides stable traction performance. Turnbuckle upper arms enable quick and precise camber adjustment, while the split lower arms allow track width changes.

Aluminum oil shocks which were previously optional on the FAZER D2, are now included as standard. Dial adjustable springs allow easy ride height setting and optional shock pistons are included for setup tuning.

Motor (sold separately) can be positioned either forward for balanced handling or at the rear to increase traction.

Rear axle uses a spool (solid axle) with no differential action. While the Readyset uses a resin spool cup, the chassis kit features a steel version, allowing optional gear or ball differentials to be installed without changing the universal swing shafts.

Stealth-type front and rear body mounts are standard, with no exposed posts or pins, just like the Readyset. Conventional body post and pin mounts are also included.

High-efficiency universal swing shafts are standard, designed to resist disengagement during crashes. Fully compatible with optional gear and ball differentials. *When increasing rear track width, compatible optional shafts are required.

This chassis kit is an optimal base for a racing vehicle

The FAZER Mk2 Readyset was created for the pure enjoyment of R/C car driving. Now available as a chassis kit, owners have the flexibility to add their own body and R/C system. Specifications have been elevated with optional parts such as HD TC center shaft S and TC universal swing shaft L to enhance the unrivaled symmetrical design and front-rear suspension balance of the lightweight chassis for R/C racers to enjoy. While the deckless design looks simple, a reduced number of components improves maintenance efficiency and optimizes torsional rigidity. Incorporation of nylon material further reduces weight and improves impact resistance. With its unique design, the FZ02 chassis embodies features and performance that will appeal to R/C drivers of all levels.

40% pre-assembled (shocks and diff gears are not filled with oil so assembly can be completed to preferred setting). The FZ02’s effective low center of gravity design compliments the high strength and rigidity realized through front & rear stiffeners and rib reinforcement at key sections of the chassis.

Duralumin HD TC center shaft S (FAW209) provides increased rigidity compared to the standard resin shaft included in the Readyset. In addition to smoother driving transmission, the red anodized color has striking visual appeal.

TC Universal swing shafts L (FAW202) on the front drive section don’t drop out on heavy contact like dog bone shafts. In addition, the swing shafts deliver consistent drive transmission even when joint is at a wide steering angle.

A special resin transponder mounting stay is included for when the chassis is competing in race events. There is no need to make a handmade stay or holes in the body to fit a transponder.

Included body mounts enable bodies from various manufacturers to be fitted. In addition, two different brake-disk wheel hubs allow 190mm and 200mm chassis width settings for compatibility with various body types.

Included aluminum plate protects the motor from dirt and provides effective heat dissipation, especially in the heat of summer racing.

Oil shocks and springs optimize the front-rear geometric balance, delivering both light handling and precise control. (Silicone oil for the shocks is sold separately)

Bump steer and scrub radius, the two factors with the greatest influence on handling, have been optimized on the front suspension. Interchangeable front-rear and left-right hub carriers improve parts efficiency and maintenance.

Original low-profile semi-slick pattern tires and inner sponge (FAT701M) combine with 15-spoke black wheels for enhanced racing appeal.
