Kyosho Tomahawk'85 WC Worlds Spec 2WD 1:10 Kit Ltd

At the inaugural IFMAR (International Federation of Model Auto Racing) 1/10 EP (electric) Off-Road Car World Championship held in the United States in 1985, the latest racing buggies from around the world gathered to compete for the title. The Tomahawk led the Kyosho’s charge in the 2WD class, including a works-spec machine driven by its designer, Akira Kokawa. 41 years later, the works-spec Tomahawk driven by its designer, Akira Kogawa, has been revived. Released as the 20th installment of the Kyosho Vintage Series in a limited production run, the Tomahawk ’85 World Championship Spec is based on the Tomahawk reissued in 2015. By incorporating newly developed parts and including optional components as standard, it faithfully recreates the World Championship entry model while delivering significant performance upgrades. The Tomahawk’s signature ladder frame has been updated to stainless steel, while the rear suspension plate and gearbox plate are made from A7075 duralumin to enhance chassis rigidity. Although a stainless-steel frame was prototyped back in 1985, it was never commercialized, making this ’85 World Championship Spec its first production release. The front suspension is reinforced with a combination of an integrated steel caster lock and a CNC-machined arm shaft lock. Newly designed FRP shock towers are used front and rear, and an FRP servo mount plate lowers the center of gravity, leaving no detail overlooked. In addition, numerous modifications, such as the addition of a rear wing and the inclusion of a ball differential as standard, both absent on the original Tomahawk, result in a finish worthy of the “World Championship Spec” name. Celebrating the racer that helped define EP buggy racing at the first IFMAR World Championship, this kit delivers both historic authenticity and thrilling performance for nostalgic fans and new enthusiasts alike.

Recreates the Tomahawk used by Kyosho Works Team driver Akira Kogawa at the 1985 World Championship. Special parts are incorporated throughout, and it features wheels molded in his signature peppermint green color.

Signature bent stainless steel box-section ladder frame combines with A7050 duralumin rear suspension and gearbox plates to significantly increase rigidity for demanding track conditions.

Front and rear shock towers are upgraded from aluminum to 3mm thick black FRP, matching the 1985 race-spec configuration.

Red aluminum oil shocks inspired by the World Championship Kyosho works model include dial spring tension adjustment for precision setup compared to standard spec spring stoppers.

Equipped with same type ball differential as used on the original 1985 World Championship machine. Allows controlled slip under load to improve traction and cornering performance.

The wheel hubs used to secure the rear wheels are a completely new design. By locking in with the wheel ribs, they greatly improve mounting rigidity and effectively enhance rear tire traction.

New FRP servo mount plate lowers the center of gravity and shifts the servo forward to optimize weight distribution for improved front- end response.

While the standard spec Tomahawk was without rear wing, the ’85 World Championship spec featured a peppermint green rear wing to match the wheels. Wing mount is newly designed for this model.

The Fighting Buggy was originally exported as the Super Champ in 1982 across the globe. For a limited time only, it is back as a special re-release celebrating 36-plus years after it originally made its debut in hobby stores.

The re-release kit begins with a new name, which is the same as that used by the original Japanese release of the R/C model. While it features a variety of tweaks and upgrades, Tamiya's designers made sure to retain the drivability, appearance and characteristics of the original.

This R/C model assembly kit creates a 4WD buggy, with a lightweight and durable stylized polycarbonate version of the legendary Hot Shot body. The reimagined comical body comes pre-painted in red and all that is needed is the application of the included stickers, and voila! A new, Comical Hot Shot which pays homage to Tamiya’s classic 1985 Hot Shot kit! The GF-01CB chassis in which the body sits on top of is a gear-driven unit that provides a thrilling drive and super wheelies when you jam on the throttle.

GF-01: Seriously Stable 4WD
This gear-driven 4WD chassis is based around a lightweight and tough monocoque frame, with power provided by the centrally-positioned motor. Sealed gearboxes protect from dust and debris and are integrated into the frame, while the built-in differential gears provide smooth cornering. This is reinforced by 4-wheel double wishbone suspension with CVA oil dampers and a two-piece tie rod steering setup with the servo on the left for excellent response. Two-piece wheels are joined by ST block bubble tires, and WR-02 or GF-01 Hop-Up Option parts are available to hop-up your model.

This assembly kit R/C truck features a stylish body inspired by the breathtaking, exciting low form of U.S. stadium racing trucks. About the DT-03 chassis
The stylish slimline form of this chassis stems from its lightweight yet durable monocoque frame, which features a longitudinally-positioned battery and the R/C equipment along the centerline for excellent balance. The combination of a long 287mm wheelbase and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension married to CVA oil dampers with long arms at a 25-degree attachment angle, allows the model to handle with stability on poor surfaces. The rear-positioned gearbox is sealed to protect from dust and dirt, with the built-in differential gear offering smooth cornering.

This is a re-issued R/C assembly kit of the Hot Shot. It originally debuted in 1985 as Tamiya’s first 4WD off-road buggy.

An R/C Legend Returns
With its aggressive-looking body design and low center of gravity, the Hotshot, Tamiya's first shaft-driven 4WD R/C buggy, made waves when it was introduced in 1985. The unique 3-piece chassis included such innovative features as front/rear mono-shock oil dampers, 4-wheel double wishbone suspension equipped with stabilizers, and front/rear fully-enclosed gearboxes equipped with thrust ball bearings and differential gears. A wide array of Option Parts were produced especially for modifying the Hotshot, and the machine became something that every youth at that time dreamed of. Fans have clamored for a re-release of the epoch-making R/C car, and Tamiya now brings back this legend to let fans relive their childhood memories.

An Old Dog with New Tricks
Tamiya designers have given the Hotshot a makeover, replacing older, harder to assemble parts with modern equivalents but still keeping true to the spirit of the original Hotshot. While the front/rear double wishbone suspensions and adjustable mono-shock oil dampers remain the same, the drivetrain features modern dog bone type propeller shafts for enhanced reliability. The oil dampers have also been changed to the more modern diaphragm type. Also, with the use of a modern ESC, the original Hotshot's rear aluminum heat sink was no longer necessary. However, the Hotshot would not look the same without it, so our solution was to install a dummy part to remain faithful to the original look. Take this updated Hotshot out for a spin and compare it to today's R/C buggies to experience how far this hobby has developed!

Powered by two independent side-by-side motors, the transmission in the Blizzard 2.0 Readyset delivers awesome power and free control so you can enjoy dominance over any terrain like only a true
belted vehicle can deliver. With a suspension system equipped on all wheels, the Blizzard clears every challenge in its path including rocky obstacles, steep hill climbs and gravel or sand that would

Roller can also be operated with the motor using optional Rear Tiller Unit Set (BLW3B). The unit can be operated separately using the 4th channel on the transmitter.

The simple design of Kyosho’s electric (EP) 1/10 scale EZ series buggy delivers the perfect combination of handling, high-performance, and affordability. Since its release in 2012, the EZ series AXXE has been a popular beginner R/C car and also a great second car for more experienced drivers. Following its excellent basic design, the new AXXE 2.0 has been reborn with upgrades to its standard R/C system components and a modified body for compatibility with modern day power sources. Like its sister model the Sandmaster which was renewed in 2023, the AXXE 2.0 has undergone some changes to its chassis design to accommodate various battery types and to reduce contact of the new gearbox with the road surface. This rear-wheel-drive off-road buggy features a midship layout, positioning the motor just ahead of the rear wheels. The high-rigidity duralumin main chassis has undergone slight modifications, while the proven low-profile gearbox and other key components have been carried over from the Ultima RB7.

A new body based on the superb aerodynamics of the RB7, features design modifications to the rear cabin to further enhance efficiency. The rear wing has also been redesigned for increased strength, generating powerful and stable downforce.

The front and rear shock stays have been upgraded from the RB7's plastic material to 4mm thick carbon fiber, significantly enhancing strength and rigidity. The new design provides better protection against damage during rollovers, and a resin protector comes standard to safeguard both carpet and artificial grass surfaces.

New aluminum oil shocks with 13mm pistons enhance stability at high speeds and over uneven surfaces while effectively absorbing landing impacts. The springs have also been upgraded for improved performance.

The aluminum steering crank and plate ensure smooth operation and high rigidity, enhancing steering response. Additionally, the upper bulkhead shape has been modified to prevent interference with the servo horn.

The completely redesigned aluminum rear hub carriers allow for changes in upper rod length by adjusting spacer thickness, increasing the capacity for ball bearings. The height of the suspension pins can be adjusted by replacing the resin bushings.

The new rear bulkhead features a separate upper rod mounting point. The aluminum upper rod mount enhances suspension rigidity and allows for tuning of the suspension geometry by adjusting the rod mounting height.

The LCG battery mount allows forward-back weight distribution adjustments and features a tool-free, one-touch system for quick battery installation and removal.

The previously optional front wing is now included as standard. It helps adjust aerial posture during jumps and serves as an effective tuning part, also altering cornering characteristics.

The original Turbo Optima Mid Special featured an 18mm longer wheelbase than the Optima Mid, enhancing high-speed stability and cornering performance.
