This R/C assembly kit recreates the Opel Calibra V6 Cliff. The polycarbonate body is mounted on the TT-01 Type-E chassis, for ease of assembly. The Opel Calibra V6 Cliff was previously released on the Tamiya TA-02 chassis during the 1990’s touring car boom.

About the Opel Calibra V6 Cliff
The Opel Calibra V6 Cliff took part in the 1995 running of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) series. Entered by Joest Racing with the driver JJ. Lehto, the car was powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine capable of 420 hp. The distinctive black body with the Cliff logo caught people’s eye, and this car showed off race pace strength in DTM races.

Speedy and controllable 2 belt-driven 4WD chassis in TA series!
The Tamiya TA series continues to evolve. This iteration, the TA08 PRO, further evolves on-road touring car driving with this hopped-up chassis. The slim TA08 PRO Chassis Kit eliminates the need for an upper deck, which balances weight and rigidity. Its layout features the motor in near identical position to the TRF420, with the spur gear in front of the motor. Newly designed upper & lower arms make effective use of tire grip, equipped with laid down SSBB (Super Short Big Bore) dampers. This R/C model assembly kit recreates the 2020 Ford GT Mk II track-only supercar. The MK II was built to celebrate Fords race winning heritage at Le Mans which was accomplished with the legendary GT40 MKII back in 1966. This version of the Ford GT will be limited to 45 hand-built machines, but the Tamiya R/C version is available for all fans!

The accurately depicted Ford GT MK II body is made of polycarbonate and ABS plastic wing and mirror pieces, which sits on top of our most builder user friendly TT-02 entry-level on-road chassis.

TT-02: Adaptable, balanced shaft driven 4WD
The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis employs a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, to give excellent stability. In addition, it features identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for ease of assembly, plus easy-to-maintain gearboxes. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers 2 different wheelbases, 2 ground clearance settings and 2 tread set-ups in addition to a range of 10 possible gear ratios. This R/C model assembly kit creates a 4WD buggy, with a lightweight and durable stylized polycarbonate version of the legendary Hot Shot body. The reimagined comical body comes pre-painted in red and all that is needed is the application of the included stickers, and voila! GF-01: Seriously Stable 4WD
This gear-driven 4WD chassis is based around a lightweight and tough monocoque frame, with power provided by the centrally-positioned motor. Sealed gearboxes protect from dust and debris and are integrated into the frame, while the built-in differential gears provide smooth cornering. This is reinforced by 4-wheel double wishbone suspension with CVA oil dampers and a two-piece tie rod steering setup with the servo on the left for excellent response. Tamiya is no stranger to recreating classic cars from different eras! This specific kit recreates a true classic in the form of the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. The Karmann Ghia was a stylish coupé based upon the same platform as the legendary Beetle. Its body was designed by Italian firm Ghia and manufactured by the German company Karmann. Four-link rigid suspension is employed front and rear, with CVA oil dampers for all-encompassing control, even on tricky rock sections. The classic Tamiya Monster Beetle is an iconic R/C kit. This version takes the classic body, shrinks it to a smaller scale, and mounts it on a variant GF-01 chassis called the GF-01TR!

The GF-01TR fits the gear-driven GF-01 chassis with reduction gears (also known as portal axles). This modification allows the hobbyist to better transverse trail terrain as it lifts the bottom of the chassis to better clear obstacles that could high center the vehicle and render it stuck.

GF-01TR Chassis:
This gear-driven 4WD chassis is based around a lightweight and tough monocoque frame, with power provided by the centrally-positioned motor. Reduction gears on each axle slow drive shaft rotation for immense traction, great ground clearance, and the ability to take on tough off-road terrain. The gearbox is sealed to protect from dust and debris, and integrated into the frame; built-in differential gears provide superb traction and durability with the use of included diff putty. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension utilizes friction dampers, while a 2-piece tie rod steering setup with the servo on the left gives excellent response. Yellow wheels are fitted with 115mm diameter hybrid pin spike/lug pattern tires for superior cushioning and grip. The chassis utilizes a ‘square’ setup with similar tread and wheelbase lengths.

This TAMIYA R/C model assembly kit depicts the 1st-generation (T1) variant of the Volkswagen Type 2 van, which was introduced in 1950 and also known as the Volkswagen Bus to many of its legions of fans. Production of the actual van continued through until 1967. The iconic body is paired with the rear-wheel drive M-06 chassis for realistic fun driving just like the real RR Type 2 T1.

This re-release version of the Monster Beetle assembly kit features a number of updates while keeping the basic layout of the original off-road car released in 1986.
