This is a basic model with minimal decorative elements.

Throttle mechanism with more direct feel.
Renovating the form by lengthening the throttle trigger and operational angle. In order to not influence the operational angle, the distance to the finger from the angular sensor has created a more direct feeling while maintaining a compact and comfortable size. With the direct feeling of the throttle/brake reaction when moved, the increase of this linear feeling allows for a smoother and quicker reaction with input on the throttle and brake.

Spring Tension Adjustment.
Trigger spring tension = personal preference. The new trigger unit provides a spring tension adjustment with a screw. This allows for a stronger or softer spring tension according to personal preference.

The long life period of the angle sensor’s smoothness does not change.
The new angle sensor used has proven to give a precise signal and shown durability. Because the signal is very precise, delicate movements are very fluid.
The durability of the new sensor has shown approximately an improvement of 100 times over the past sensor used. Small operation feeling of the fingertip translates into a smooth and linear output to an ESC and servo.

MINI-Z Mode
EX-NEXT was newly developed by reviewing the design of the control and communication systems from the ground up. It achieves the industry's fastest communication speed and high resolution. In MINI-Z Mode, it outperforms FHSS such as the EX-RR, which has been the fastest. The EX-NEXT's high-speed communication increases the density of information that can be transmitted to the machine. You can experience the "fine and smooth control feeling" brought about by unprecedented high-definition, high-resolution control.

XT Advanced Mode, XT Telemetry Mode
This product is not dedicated to MINI-Z. When combined with the KR-420XT receiver and KR-242XT(Telemetry only) can also be used with general-purpose RC cars without the need to change the firmware. The combination of the ultra-fast XT Advanced Mode, the bi-directional XT Telemetry Mode, and the serial servo 4S allows you to experience the dramatic evolution of high-speed performance from FHSS. For details, please refer to the product page of the set with KR-420XT and KR-242XT.

Please note: Switching the RF mode

You can switch between XT Advanced Mode, XT Telemetry Mode, and MINI-Z Mode by setting the RF Mode in EX-NEXT. (Set the RF mode to "MINI-Z Mode" when using the MINI-Z.) Also, the default setting is "XT telemetry mode", so if you want to use it in MINI-Z Mode, please change it to "MINI-Z Mode" first.

RF mode can be set for each model memory in order to be able to use it on a variety of machines. When adding a new model memory, please be sure to set the RF mode first. For details on how to set the RF mode, please refer to the "EX-NEXT Instruction Manual".
When the RF mode is set to "MINI-Z Mode", the LED on the EX-NEXT unit repeats "blue -> light blue -> blue -> light blue" alternately, so please check it.

Adjust the Gyro sensitivity at the Transmitter
The EX-NEXT allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the gyro installed in the MINI-Z from the transmitter at hand. The sensitivity can be adjusted using the 3CH/4CH "GYRO" function. The sensitivity can be easily adjusted from the control console without connecting the machine to a PC, allowing fine adjustments while running the machine.

Intuitive alert function with vibration and full-color LED
Equipped with a vibration motor that has been requested. This can be used for alarms that notify the running time and alerts for various sensors. In addition, the LED on the front of the master unit is a full-color LED. The radio wave mode in use and the alert content of the vibration motor can now be identified by the LED lighting pattern.

Can be replaced with the Color Grip2 of your choice.
The "Color Grip2" already on sale can be attached. Choose your favorite color from a wide range of variations.

Superior durability and operation feeling led by new angle sensor.
Prevents deterioration of durability and operational feeling due to wear, which can be said to be the problem of contact sensors. Along with smooth operation feeling by smoother sliding, we realize high durability that is approximately 100 times compared with the prior sensor. Therefore, the best feeling of operation can be maintained for a long time. In addition, the new sensor outputs a more linear signal to the Master Unit. You can control the ESC and servo with a detailed operation sense. A realization of a sense of unity between people and cars.

Increased the number of ball bearings that support the steering shaft for higher accuracy!
The number of ball bearings supporting the steering shaft has been increased from one to two. The double-support type supports higher precision operation and reliability.

The soft spring which can be operated with a constant tension.
The normal spring included in the extension unit has been modified. The previous spring used was a progressive spring becoming stiffer as the wheel angle increased, but the new softer spring give a linear stiffness as the wheel angle increases. Since the spring tension can be adjusted, you can set the spring tension to your personal preference.

Firmware update function.
Firmware update function is supported with the use of the ICS USB Adapter HS.

XT Advanced Mode
An all new control software and radio communication software of the EX-NEXT has been developed. World record class communication response and High resolution control are installed.
"XT Advanced mode" that is the highest speed in EX-NEXT is about 3 times the speed of the EX-RR.
The performance far exceeds the conventional high-speed communication.

High-speed communication in the XT advanced mode improves the information density that will be sent to the receivers.
You will feel a "Fine and smooth maneuvering feeling" by unprecedented high-definition and high-resolution control when operating.

XT Telemetry mode
EX-NEXT supports "XT Telemetry mode" that uses 2-way communication. When "4S series servos" that support serial compatible are connected to the B/S port in the new receiver KR-420XT, you can use "REAL TIME ICS". So, you can easily change parameters of servos from the transmitter without accessing the car directly. Setting your car with more freedom and more detail without compromise.

Also, even using the XT Telemetry mode that is 2-way communication, the High-speed response is still faster thanthe EX-RR.

Currently mainstream servo control method is performed by PWM control. PWM control method uses pulse width to send position of servos output from receiver. Serial control method uses a digital signal value to send the position of the servo output. So, communication speed of the Serial control method will be significantly faster than a PWM control method, time ofthe servo’s action from your operation input is shorter. Operating feeling will be ultra high speed like operating thecar directly.

RSx4S / BSx4S Series

LCD extension unit 2 with various functions
LCD expansion unit 2 EXP-201 supports various RF modes, response modes, and various setting items added from EX-NEXT. Easy setting is possible with easy-to-understand menu structure and button operation. This product has a new ICS servo setting function. It supports not only 4S serial servos but also conventional ICS servos. You can change the servo parameters by connecting the servo directly to expansion 2 without using a PC or servo model selector. In addition, it is necessary to change the ID when using multiple 4S servos serially, but it can be easily assigned from this product.

EX-NEXT has been newly developed with a complete redesign of both its control and communication systems from the ground up. It achieves industry-leading communication speed and ultra-high-resolution precision. In its fastest response mode, "XT Advanced Mode," EX-NEXT delivers approximately three times the communication speed compared to the EX-RR. This performance surpasses even the previously fastest HCS mode.

High-speed communication in the XT advanced mode improves the information density that will be sent to the receivers.
You will feel a "Fine and smooth maneuvering feeling" by unprecedented high-definition and high-resolution control when operating.

*When using the ultra-high-speed XT Advanced Mode, please combine it with either serial-compatible servo “4S” or HCS-compliant "RSx3/BSx3" series servos. Due to the extremely fast communication cycle of the XT Advanced Mode, general servos might experience limitations in their operating angles.

*Although the EX-NEXT main unit is equipped with XT Advanced Mode, the included KR-242XT is for XT Telemetry only. To use XT Advanced Mode, please prepare a separate KR-420XT.

XT Telemetry mode
EX-NEXT is equipped with telemetry (bi-directional communication) functionality. By connecting a serial-compatible “4S” servo to the B/S port of the KR-242XT, “REAL TIME ICS” becomes available. This allows you to adjust servo parameters directly from the transmitter without needing to retrieve the machine. Now you can achieve more refined and uncompromising setups with greater freedom than ever before.

Also, even using the XT Telemetry mode that is 2-way communication, the High-speed response is still faster thanthe EX-RR.

RSx4S / BSx4S Series

Supported HCS.
EX-NEXT & KR-242XT support the use of HCS that was adopted from the RSx3, BSx3 series. Until now, it was necessary to change the receiver mode using the settingdevice, but with EX-NEXT this can be changed from the transmitter for each channel. HCS compatible servos are automatically change to HCS mode when the received signal is HCS. If you want use HCS, please connect servos to 1-4ch ofthe KR-242XT.

　　RSx3 / BSx3 / RSx4S / BSx4S Series

NORMAL mode (For commercially available servos and ESCs)
You can use different kinds of servos by changing the response mode to "Normal mode". So, you can use most current servos and ESC with EX-NEXT.

In this case, please connect to 1-4ch of the receiver.
*If you change the response mode of EX-NEXT from NORMAL to XT advanced mode in the radio settings, the maximum movement degrees of servos are limit to maximum about 42 degrees and will change. So, if you use NORMAL mode were commended setting to XT telemetry mode in the radio setting. In case of using an ESC, there is no chance of using over a travel limit, so there is no problem using with XT advanced mode.

Firmware Ver.3.00 compatible with MINI-Z
Firmware Ver.3.xx is released to use MINI-Z EVO with EX-NEXT. Ultra small receiver KR-242XT
1-4 ch are same function as conventional KR-418FH and KR-415FHD. You can use conventional servos in these ports.

Equipped with a terminal compatible for serial communication.
KR-242XT supports “REAL TIME ICS" that is a new serial communication to servos . By connecting serial communication-compatible servos such as the BSx4S-one10 Grasper2 to the B/S channel, REAL TIME ICS becomes available.

There is only one B / S port, but you can connect two or more devices by changing the device ID number and using a twin extension cable. You can use "REAL TIME ICS" in a GP car or other categories too.

Ultra small dimensions case
The ultra-compact receiver KR-242XT, which is equipped with the latest devices abundantly for the EX-NEXT. While maintaining the same footprint as the KR-418FH compact receiver, which has been very well received, the connector mounting height has been reduced, and the total volume is smaller then before. 5 Connecting ports for servos or ESC are equipped. Also, unused connecting ports can be use to power cooling fans and transponder for lap counting systems.

Pairing device without Power cycle.
The UI (user interface) of the setup switch and pilot LED has also been reviewed. In addition to the same handling as the conventional KO PROPO receiver, pairing and RF mode switching functions have been additionally implemented without turning the power on / off.KR-242XT has the capability to install an antenna pipe to receiver case directly just like the KR-415FHD, which has been very well received. The footprint is the same as the conventional model KR-418FH, but you can save the trouble of installing an antenna mount.

Intuitive alert function with vibration and full-color LED
Equipped with a vibration motor that has been requested. This can be used for alarms that notify the running time and alerts for various sensors. In addition, the LED on the front of the master unit is a full-color LED. The radio wave mode in use and the alert content of the vibration motor can now be identified by the LED lighting pattern.

Xpansion 2 that can change the ICS setting of the servo is standard equipment.
EX-NEXT is equipped with the evolved "LCD Xpansion unit 2 EXP-201" as standard equipment. New telemetry, XT radio mode, supported menu, and also the newly added setting function for ICS compatible servo are standard. Serial compatible servos which support "REAL TIME ICS" and conventional ICS compatible servos can be used. Change settings of an ICS servo by only using the Xpansion unit 2 without using a PC or servo model selector.

*It necessary to use external power (6 to 7.4V) for setting by Xpansion unit 2 only. Please use the "Servo Twin Extension Wire II w/new plug" for power supply, sold separately.

Increased the number of ball bearings that support the steering shaft for higher accuracy!
The number of ball bearings supporting the steering shaft has been increased from one to two. The double-support type supports higher precision operation and reliability.

The soft spring which can be operated with a constant tension.
The normal spring included in the extension unit has been modified. The previous spring used was a progressive spring becoming stiffer as the wheel angle increased, but the new softer spring give a linear stiffness as the wheel angle increases. Since the spring tension can be adjusted, you can set the spring tension to your personal preference.

Firmware update function.
Firmware update function is supported with the use of the ICS USB Adapter HS.

[New feature: 1] Bidirectional telemetry mode
Various setting values that have been previously set on a PC can be easily set from the radio by operating the buttons on the expansion unit, just as if changing the settings on the radio. Additionally, EX-NEXT's telemetry function can read machine information. Not only each setting value but also the machine's battery voltage can be read out in real time.

[New feature: 2] High-speed advanced mode
EVO2 allows you to use high-speed advanced mode (0.99ms)! Advanced mode's high-speed communication increases the density of information that can be sent to the machine. MINI-Z Mode
EX-NEXT was newly developed by reviewing the design of the control and communication systems from the ground up. It achieves the industry's fastest communication speed and high resolution. In MINI-Z Mode, it outperforms FHSS such as the EX-RR, which has been the fastest. The EX-NEXT's high-speed communication increases the density of information that can be transmitted to the machine. You can experience the "fine and smooth control feeling" brought about by unprecedented high-definition, high-resolution control.

XT Advanced Mode, XT Telemetry Mode
This product is not dedicated to MINI-Z. When combined with the KR-420XT receiver and KR-242XT(Telemetry only) can also be used with general-purpose RC cars without the need to change the firmware. The combination of the ultra-fast XT Advanced Mode, the bi-directional XT Telemetry Mode, and the serial servo 4S allows you to experience the dramatic evolution of high-speed performance from FHSS. For details, please refer to the product page of the set with KR-420XT and KR-242XT.

Please note: Switching the RF mode

You can switch between XT Advanced Mode, XT Telemetry Mode, and MINI-Z Mode by setting the RF Mode in EX-NEXT. (Set the RF mode to "MINI-Z Mode" when using the MINI-Z.) Also, the default setting is "XT telemetry mode", so if you want to use it in MINI-Z Mode, please change it to "MINI-Z Mode" first.

RF mode can be set for each model memory in order to be able to use it on a variety of machines. When adding a new model memory, please be sure to set the RF mode first. For details on how to set the RF mode, please refer to the "EX-NEXT Instruction Manual".
When the RF mode is set to "MINI-Z Mode", the LED on the EX-NEXT unit repeats "blue -> light blue -> blue -> light blue" alternately, so please check it.

Adjust the Gyro sensitivity at the Transmitter
The EX-NEXT allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the gyro installed in the MINI-Z from the transmitter at hand. The sensitivity can be adjusted using the 3CH/4CH "GYRO" function. The sensitivity can be easily adjusted from the control console without connecting the machine to a PC, allowing fine adjustments while running the machine.

Intuitive alert function with vibration and full-color LED
Equipped with a vibration motor that has been requested. This can be used for alarms that notify the running time and alerts for various sensors. In addition, the LED on the front of the master unit is a full-color LED. The radio wave mode in use and the alert content of the vibration motor can now be identified by the LED lighting pattern.

Can be replaced with the Color Grip2 of your choice.

EX-NEXT features the newly implemented “XT” system, an evolution beyond the conventional “FHSS.” You can choose between “XT Advanced Mode” for ultra-high-speed response and “XT Telemetry Mode” for bi-directional communication (telemetry) support.

XT Advanced Mode
EX-NEXT has been newly developed with a complete redesign of both its control and communication systems from the ground up. It achieves industry-leading communication speed and ultra-high-resolution precision. In its fastest response mode, "XT Advanced Mode," EX-NEXT delivers approximately three times the communication speed compared to the EX-RR. This performance surpasses even the previously fastest HCS mode.

High-speed communication in the XT advanced mode improves the information density that will be sent to the receivers.
You will feel a "Fine and smooth maneuvering feeling" by unprecedented high-definition and high-resolution control when operating.

*When using the ultra-high-speed XT Advanced Mode, please combine it with either serial-compatible servo “4S” or HCS-compliant "RSx3/BSx3" series servos. Due to the extremely fast communication cycle of the XT Advanced Mode, general servos might experience limitations in their operating angles.

*Although the EX-NEXT main unit is equipped with XT Advanced Mode, the included KR-242XT is for XT Telemetry only. To use XT Advanced Mode, please prepare a separate KR-420XT.

XT Telemetry mode
EX-NEXT is equipped with telemetry (bi-directional communication) functionality. By connecting a serial-compatible “4S” servo to the B/S port of the KR-242XT, “REAL TIME ICS” becomes available. This allows you to adjust servo parameters directly from the transmitter without needing to retrieve the machine. Now you can achieve more refined and uncompromising setups with greater freedom than ever before.

Also, even using the XT Telemetry mode that is 2-way communication, the High-speed response is still faster thanthe EX-RR.

High speed supported by Serial servo.
Currently mainstream servo control method is performed by PWM control. PWM control method uses pulse width to send position of servos output from receiver. Serial control method uses a digital signal value to send the position of the servo output. So, communication speed of the Serial control method will be significantly faster than a PWM control method, time ofthe servo’s action from your operation input is shorter. Operating feeling will be ultra high speed like operating thecar directly.

RSx4S / BSx4S Series
*Servo is sold separately.

*Although the EX-NEXT main unit is equipped with XT Advanced Mode, the included KR-242XT is for XT Telemetry only. To use XT Advanced Mode, please prepare a separate KR-420XT.

Supported HCS.
EX-NEXT & KR-242XT support the use of HCS that was adopted from the RSx3, BSx3 series. Until now, it was necessary to change the receiver mode using the settingdevice, but with EX-NEXT this can be changed from the transmitter for each channel. HCS compatible servos are automatically change to HCS mode when the received signal is HCS. If you want use HCS, please connect servos to 1-4ch ofthe KR-242XT.

NORMAL mode (For commercially available servos and ESCs)
You can use different kinds of servos by changing the response mode to "Normal mode". So, you can use most current servos and ESC with EX-NEXT.

In this case, please connect to 1-4ch of the receiver.
*If you change the response mode of EX-NEXT from NORMAL to XT advanced mode in the radio settings, the maximum movement degrees of servos are limit to maximum about 42 degrees and will change. So, if you use NORMAL mode were commended setting to XT telemetry mode in the radio setting. In case of using an ESC, there is no chance of using over a travel limit, so there is no problem using with XT advanced mode.

The number of ball bearings supporting the steering shaft has been increased from one to two. The double-support type supports higher precision operation and reliability.

The soft spring which can be operated with a constant tension.
The normal spring included in the extension unit has been modified. The previous spring used was a progressive spring becoming stiffer as the wheel angle increased, but the new softer spring give a linear stiffness as the wheel angle increases. Since the spring tension can be adjusted, you can set the spring tension to your personal preference.

Firmware update function.
Firmware update function is supported with the use of the ICS USB Adapter HS.

XT Advanced Mode
An all new control software and radio communication software of the EX-NEXT has been developed. World record class communication response and High resolution control are installed.

The performance far exceeds the conventional high-speed communication.

XT Telemetry mode
EX-NEXT supports "XT Telemetry mode" that uses 2-way communication. So, you can easily change parameters of servos from the transmitter without accessing the car directly. Setting your car with more freedom and more detail without compromise.

Also, even using the XT Telemetry mode that is 2-way communication, the High-speed response is still faster thanthe EX-RR.

High speed supported by Serial servo.
Currently mainstream servo control method is performed by PWM control. PWM control method uses pulse width to send position of servos output from receiver. Serial control method uses a digital signal value to send the position of the servo output. So, communication speed of the Serial control method will be significantly faster than a PWM control method, time ofthe servo’s action from your operation input is shorter. Operating feeling will be ultra high speed like operating thecar directly.

RSx4S / BSx4S Series

■LCD extension unit 2 with various functions
LCD expansion unit 2 EXP-201 supports various RF modes, response modes, and various setting items added from EX-NEXT. Easy setting is possible with easy-to-understand menu structure and button operation. This product has a new ICS servo setting function. It supports not only 4S serial servos but also conventional ICS servos. You can change the servo parameters by connecting the servo directly to expansion 2 without using a PC or servo model selector. In addition, it is necessary to change the ID when using multiple 4S servos serially, but it can be easily assigned from this product.

Superior durability and operation feeling led by new angle sensor.
Prevents deterioration of durability and operational feeling due to wear, which can be said to be the problem of contact sensors. Along with smooth operation feeling by smoother sliding, we realize high durability that is approximately 100 times compared with the prior sensor. Therefore, the best feeling of operation can be maintained for a long time. In addition, the new sensor outputs a more linear signal to the Master Unit. You can control the ESC and servo with a detailed operation sense. A realization of a sense of unity between people and cars.

Increased the number of ball bearings that support the steering shaft for higher accuracy!
The number of ball bearings supporting the steering shaft has been increased from one to two. The double-support type supports higher precision operation and reliability.

The soft spring which can be operated with a constant tension.
The normal spring included in the extension unit has been modified. The previous spring used was a progressive spring becoming stiffer as the wheel angle increased, but the new softer spring give a linear stiffness as the wheel angle increases. Since the spring tension can be adjusted, you can set the spring tension to your personal preference.

Firmware update function.
Firmware update function is supported with the use of the ICS USB Adapter HS.

Luxury Pearl Black Paint
A new black colour has been added to the EX-NEXT line up. Instead of simple solid black paint, it is painted in black with pearl. The matt texture gives it a luxurious feel.
*The stand for the Expert grip unit LDT is not painted.

Newly designed Aluminium Steering Wheel
The aluminium steering wheel has been changed to a new design.

Equipped with a new standard "XT" that achieves the fastest class communication speed in the industry.
You can choose and use from "XT advanced mode" which is the world record class response for one way communication and "XT telemetry mode" which is compatible for Telemetry (2 way's communication).

XT Advanced Mode
An all new control software and radio communication software of the EX-NEXT has been developed. World record class communication response and High resolution control are installed. "XT Advanced mode" that is the highest speed in EX-NEXT is about 3 times the speed of the EX-RR. The performance far exceeds the conventional high-speed communication.

XT Telemetry mode
EX-NEXT supports "XT Telemetry mode" that uses 2-way communication. When "4S series servos" that support serial compatible are connected to the B/S port in the new receiver KR-420XT, you can use "REAL TIME ICS". So, you can easily change parameters of servos from the transmitter without accessing the car directly. Setting your car with more freedom and more detail without compromise. Also, even using the XT Telemetry mode that is 2-way communication, the High-speed response is still faster than the EX-RR.

High speed supported by Serial servo
Currently mainstream servo control method is performed by PWM control. PWM control method uses pulse width to send position of servos output from receiver. Serial control method uses a digital signal value to send the position of the servo output. So, communication speed of the Serial control method will be significantly faster than a PWM control method, time of the servo’s action from your operation input is shorter. Operating feeling will be ultra high speed like operating the car directly.

Ultra small receiver KR-420XT
The ultra-compact receiver KR-420XT, which is equipped with the latest devices abundantly for the EX-NEXT. While maintaining the same footprint as the KR-418FH compact receiver, which has been very well received, the connector mounting height has been reduced, and the total volume is smaller than before. 5 Connecting ports for servos or ESC are equipped. Also, unused connecting ports can be use to power cooling fans and transponder for lap counting systems.

Supports MINI-Z by switching modes
EX-NEXT's high-speed response is also available for MINI-Z EVO. Mode switching allows switching from general RC car to MINI-Z mode. EX-NEXT is compatible with the "MINI-Z EVO Receiver Unit EX-NEXT MC-8". *MINI-Z is a product and registered trademark of KYOSHO CORPORATION.
