This variant of the efficient 4WD TT-02 chassis includes a range of option parts, allowing you to compete at the front of the race! Aluminium rear uprights give 3-degree toe-in for more stable cornering, while an aluminium motor mount makes for greater rigidity and enhanced heat dissipation. A highly reliable drivetrain employs full ball bearings, aluminium propeller shaft and centre cups, plus metal drive shafts and joint cups. Suspension is fitted with CVA oil dampers and black coil springs; they provide superior cushioning and improved traction. The kit also includes a TT-02 high speed gear set (68T).

The Fighting Buggy was originally exported as the Super Champ in 1982 across the globe. For a limited time only, it is back as a special re-release celebrating 36-plus years after it originally made its debut in hobby stores.

The re-release kit begins with a new name, which is the same as that used by the original Japanese release of the R/C model. While it features a variety of tweaks and upgrades, Tamiya's designers made sure to retain the drivability, appearance and characteristics of the original.

• The drivetrain features the motor position moved 22.7mm toward the chassis centre compared to the TRF420X Chassis Kit (Item 42382) and has identical length front and rear drive belts for stable drivability
• With updated setup of spur gear and drive belts, only one dedicated nut is required to attach the spur gear, which enhances efficiency of maintenance
• The new lower deck is smaller compared to the one used on the TRF420X Chassis Kit to limit ground clearance when the chassis experiences roll
