JConcepts continues to re-write the script when it comes to off-road body design, development, and styling. As vehicles change and evolve over the course of time, the shape of the chassis is one the major components that goes under the microscope. JConcepts kept the profile tight and bordered the chassis outline front to back. The front-end slides over the top deck and under the front tower for a clean and classic fit. The look of the Finnisher has been sampled quite a bit over the years, however, with the double steps on the side-pod and off the back of the roof, nothing quite stands out like the original.

In 1/10^th buggy racing, cab placement is critical, the forward bias cab with powerful windshield angle conquers terrain ranging from dirt, sealed synthetic, carpet, to astroturf. The JConcepts body really does it all, with chamfered side-pods blended perfectly into the cab and broad rear mounting ledge, the F2 is a winner. The body includes a feature which covers the rear spur gear guard and with a little extra clearance for the occasional frills and spills.

The championship winning item includes two of the 6.5” Carpet | Turf | Dirt wing which is now a standard racing item around the world. The body includes all trim and window lines scribed on the body and masks to quickly cover the inside of the windows to perform user generated painting technique. Wing development is serious business and JConcepts has responded with a technically advanced alternative for 1/8th racing. The Finnisher wing features a brand-new design incorporating a multi-height layout which allows the wing to sit in a lower stance. The side-dams feature a surface which has a recessed section for increasing rigidity.

The pre-trimmed polycarbonate wing formed in heavy-duty material, has been in the JConcepts line previously as the “Hybrid” wing. Now, it has been refined with taller side-dams, and taller rear gurney. The Finnisher wing has a hard chamfered leading edge to the side-dams giving it that legacy look known from JConcepts. Angular sections blend nicely into the high-performance shape giving a location for that initial step and transition to the wing’s gurney position. At the rear of the wing rests 7 individual ribs which support the wing’s upper section as it transitions to the gurney.

The wing is extremely light weight, formed in 1.5mm polycarbonate, the Finnisher has a lot of competition elements rolled into one. Since the wing has a lowered section in the center, some 1/8^th buggy vehicles may have interfering geometry which will need to be trimmed or cut to allow the wing to drop down on the wing mounts.
