Tamiya RC Monster Truck Kits

Tamiya 58762 Clod Buster - Heritage Big-Foot Monster at 1/10 Scale

The Tamiya 58762 Clod Buster returns as a purposefully styled monster truck kit for hobbyists who want strong scale presence and an iconic silhouette. The 2026 edition concentrates on the model's visual bulk and classic big-foot proportions instead of focusing on weight-saving or competition traits. The design language is evident in the body contours, wheel spacing, and the general arrangement that references the original Clod Buster persona.

Chassis and mechanical character

The offering centres on a Big-Foot style chassis that highlights visual scale and a rugged look. Structural choices promote a wide stance and a tough-looking underframe, giving the built model a solid, grounded appearance. You can expect layout choices that accommodate larger wheels and clear fender gaps, reflecting typical monster truck styling for this segment.

Bodywork and scale presence

The Clod Buster body recreates the large fenders and raised ride height associated with big-foot trucks. Panel proportions and detail placement are organised to read well at 1/10 scale, helping the model stand out on display. The shell and accessories stress recognisable silhouette cues rather than minute surface detail, aligning with the kit's collector and display intent.

Suitability and intended audience

This kit is aimed at builders and collectors who prefer assembling a visually commanding monster truck. The 58762 Clod Buster is best for those seeking a heavier-looking truck for display or casual off-road activity rather than for those focused on lightweight competitive builds. The assembly presents an opportunity to build a classic monster truck within Tamiya's established kit format.

Build impressions without procedural guidance

The structural choices and component layout suggest a moderate level of assembly complexity typical of branded plastic kits in this class. Fit and finish are intended for hobbyists comfortable with kit construction; careful assembly will produce the most satisfying visual results. The emphasis is on recreating the Clod Buster's appearance at a display-friendly scale while keeping the mechanical side straightforward.
