Typically for racing - the range, would have high speeds - metal gears and a digital motor. Still generally low torque motors, for exchange of high speed, below the 0.12sec mark. Typically all metal geared unless said otherwise.

Low profile servos offer less mass, a stronger design and is a requirement for todays compact 1/10 RC Race Cars for fitment.
