The Lamborghini Countach prototype was announced in 1971, and made huge waves with its futuristic form and innovative design. 1974 saw the debut of the Countach LP400 which was the first production Countach, and by 1982 it had evolved into the 5000S which employed a 5-litre engine. Around 320 5000S cars were produced up to 1985.
